As of 2pm March 24, 2020<\/strong> there are 2,535 positive cases<\/strong> and 53 deaths<\/strong> in California. Approximately 66,800 tests<\/strong> had been conducted. This includes the latest numbers California has received from commercial and private labs. At least 18,276 results have been received and another 48,600 are pending. See the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) for the latest data<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As of 8 PM (Paris time), France has recorded a total of 3,024 deaths (+418 = worst day in # of deaths to date) and 44<\/span><\/strong>,550 cases (+4316) of infected patients to date. 21,008 patients are hospitalized (+1,654) and 5,107 patients are in reanimation (+ 475). 7,924 recovered patients (+793) have left the hospital.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Italy: +812 deaths in the last 24 hours = over 11,500 deaths to date but the number of new recorded cases has never been lower.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

03\/28\/20<\/span>****RED ALERT: STAGE 3 in FRANCE. As of 8 PM (Paris time), France has recorded a total of 2,314 deaths and <\/span><\/strong>37,575\u00a0cases of infected patients to date.

As of 8 PM (Paris time), France has recorded 299 addtl. deaths making it a total of 1,995 deaths <\/span><\/strong>and 32, 964 cases of infected patients. 15,732 patients are hospitalized — 3,787 of whom are in reanimation (+412 patients in just one day) — including 42 patients under 30 years of age — to date. Mandatory home isolation for everyone has been extended to (at least) April 15, 2020.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Italy: Most dramatic increase in one day worldwide with an additional 969 deaths recorded since yesterday = <\/span><\/strong>9,134 deaths to date.

As of 8 PM (Paris time), France has recorded 365 addtl. deaths — including a 16-year old woman — making it a total of 1,696 deaths and 29,155 cases of infected patients to date. As of tonight, 3,375 patients are in reanimation. And 4, 948 French patients have recovered and were able to leave the hospital. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Professor J\u00e9r\u00f4me Salomon, the French General Director for Health, reports tonight that <\/span><\/strong>11.539 patients — including 2,827 patients in critical condition in reanimation (+311 patients more than yesterday) — have been recorded. To date, 3,900 French patients have recovered and were able to leave the hospital. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Italy: With 601 new deaths on Monday (less number of deaths than on Sunday), Italy counts 6,077 deaths to date.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Department of State advises U.S. citizens to avoid all international travel due to the global impact of COVID-19<\/strong>.<\/a> In countries where commercial departure options remain available, U.S. citizens who live in the United States should arrange for immediate return to the United States, unless they are prepared to remain abroad for an indefinite period. U.S. citizens who live abroad should avoid all international travel. Many countries are experiencing COVID-19 outbreaks and implementing travel restrictions and mandatory quarantines, closing borders, and prohibiting non-citizens from entry with little advance notice. Airlines have cancelled many international flights and several cruise operators have suspended operations or cancelled trips. If you choose to travel internationally, your travel plans may be severely disrupted, and you may be forced to remain outside of the United States for an indefinite timeframe.<\/p>\n

On March 14, the Department of State authorized the departure of U.S. personnel and family members from any diplomatic or consular post in the world who have determined they are at higher risk of a poor outcome if exposed to COVID-19 or who have requested departure based on a commensurate justification. These departures may limit the ability of U.S. Embassies and consulates to provide services to U.S. citizens.<\/p>\n
