Time to register for French Summer Camps in Seattle, WA, U.S.A.

Chers amis,

Cette année marque le 130ème anniversaire de l’arrivée de la Statue de la Liberté à New-York ! Afin de célébrer cet historique évènement organisé par le Mouvement des Français de l’Étranger (MDFDE) French & Francophones Abroad via son projet MDFDE/Paris-NYC16 #MDFDEJeSuisLadyLiberty130 #NPS100, Atelier d’Ichère Seattle propose aux plus jeunes de participer à deux stages d’été en immersion en français autour du thème « Lady Liberty ». Lors de ces stages, des œuvres collectives seront créées avec les participants. Elles seront ensuite exposées à l’occasion de la journée « Lady Liberty Art Show » programmée le dimanche 4 décembre 2016.

Ces stages sont ouverts aux jeunes âgés de 6 à 13 ans. Nous accueillons également les 14-17 ans en qualité de « counselor in training ».

BAM Summer Camps 2016


Summer Camps at BAM invite kids to stretch their imaginations with exceptional programming and enrichment in a safe, fun, and supportive museum environment. Each week campers explore a theme through art, craft, and design. Campers will experiment with materials, tools, techniques, and processes that enhance the communication of ideas through art. Each week culminates with an art display for families and friends to enjoy. We look forward to welcoming you and your camper!

Artists & Storytellers
June 20 – 24, 9am – 12pm
Age: Pre-K, 4 & 5 years old
Join BAM for a celebration of amazing children’s books, authors, and artistic illustrations! Preschoolers will explore museum exhibitions through the lens of beloved books, while creatively telling their own stories through art.

Under the Sea
June 27 – July 1, 9am – 3pm (ext. care available until 5:30pm)*
Age: Entering 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grade
Learn, make, and play as we dive into the life and beauty of the ocean world. Using a variety of materials and techniques, this week is dedicated to creating art inspired by the creatures, movements, and mysteries of the big blue.

Myths & Magic
July 11 – 15, 9am – 3pm (ext. care available until 5:30pm)*
Age: Entering 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grade
Spend a week creating spectacular art inspired by magical worlds and ancient myths! We will design colorful and fantastical artworks while learning about new art processes.

Modern Masters July 18 – 22, 9am – 3pm (ext. care available until 5:30pm)*
Age: Entering 4th, 5th, or 6th grade
Explore classical and modern art and create your own masterpieces inspired by some of the most famous artists in history.

Art Adventures Around the World

August 8 – 12, 9am – 3pm (ext. care available until 5:30pm)*
Age: Entering 4th, 5th, or 6th grade
Travel around the world through the art of different cultures! Inspired by the incredible diversity of artistic traditions across the globe, we create art projects using diverse techniques and materials.

Long Live Lady Liberty! With Atelier d’Ichere
August 29 –September 2, 9am –12pm
Age: 7 –12 years old

This French language immersion camp will celebrate the 130th anniversary of the arrival of France’s famous gift to the United States—the Statue of Liberty! We will sing, act, see, and create « Liberty »-themed art with a variety of media.


*Extended care is available to campers participating in full day (9am – 3pm) camps, until 5:30pm. You may pay in advance for the full week, or pay for individual days. There is no extended care available for half day (9am – 12pm) camps.

Full Day Camps – $350 nonmembers / $310 members
Half Day Camps – $210 nonmembers / $190 members
Extended Care – $80 per week (paid in advance) / $20 per day
